Questions 

Proper planning shows them you care.

  1. Do you have a family member who may require some form of long term care;  i.e., nursing home, assisted living, homecare or adult daycare?

  2. Is the person who may require care a spouse or a parent?

  3. Is this person receiving long-term care insurance?

  4. Are you concerned about the financial security of the well spouse?

  5. Has the person requiring the long-term care or that person's spouse transferred assets during the past three years?

  6. Are you familiar with the Medicaid transfer penalties?

  7. Are you familiar with the legitimate Medicaid spend down techniques?

  8. Are you familiar with your state pharmaceutical programs?

  9. Are you concerned about leaving a legacy to children?
